Leaving for Sanya, the Southern part of Hainan which weather was insanely hot.

The young "tribe" people suddenly dragged me to play a game and asked for "marriage"(not real, just a play).

Best was I was half awake and I have no clue what was going on.

So I just kept laughing at them while shaking my head. HAHAH.

They're not real tribe people I believe, mostly actors to give visitors a worth-while experience.

One of the few real tribe people left, the oldest - 86 years old.

This tall wood piece is as hard as a rock but as smooth as marble floors!

I would love to have one in my home!

Haikou's really cold surprisingly, but I enjoyed the fresh cold air!

Purchased this metallic red collared shirt today with the help of a friend in the decision making and I'm loving it to bits and pieces!
It's so comfortable~
I love how the buttons camouflages with the rest of the shirt.

I'm not a fan of skirts actually, in fact I have never purchased any skirts before with the exception of school skirts.

This velvet skirt caught my attention when I first saw it.
I felt a need to have it when I saw it, despite thinking "twice" over and over again... thus... ended up purchasing it. HAHA.
Guess there will be little bits of changes in my wardrobe! ( :

The weather hasn't been friendly these past few days, either VERY hot or RAIN like siao.
That probably explains why I never went out on my own/with friends.

No, those are not extensions.

They are my real hair!

Anyway, I have a topic which I wish to express my opinions on:

Plastic Surgery

Honestly speaking, I'm not really a fan of plastic surgery nor am I against it.

Basically saying, I'm pretty neutral about it.

I may do in the future or I may not. Who knows?

The demands for plastic surgery has gotten pretty high over the years I feel and it is quite scary?
Mainly because some people may go under the knives to look like their idol or rather, everyone having almost identical facial shape, eyes, nose and etc.
Isn't it freaky? Imagine going out and seeing someone 99% identical to you.

Of course I understand why, everyone wants a small nose, V-shape face, parallel eye lids and etc.
Everyone wants the perfect "everything".
Even I do.

People being strongly against it
I don't understand why is there a need to make a big fuss about having plastic surgery?
I mean, the person who goes under knives... if it makes the person feel so much more awesome and confident about themselves, isn't it better?

Moreover, an individual who makes the decision about having plastic surgery.... isn't it a form of courage?
I believe not many are actually willing to make the decision and take action to go under knives just so that they can feel more beautiful and accepted into society.
Being "operated" simply means risk.
There are many risk and consequences to handle especially the aftermath.
And these individuals were willing to risk them, isn't it courageous and brave of them?

I understand where you're coming if you are against it... but strongly against? I simply can't comprehend.

Acceptance in Society
I guess the reason they went for plastic surgery is just so to be accepted into society for their looks.
The main problem in the end is society.
We are all judgmental people. Don't deny that you're not.
So long as you have comment about someone else, it is a form of judgement.

When a person puts on thick make-up and looks super gorgeous, people say it's fake.
When a person goes out without any make-up looking natural, people say it's ugly.

Everyone has flaws everywhere, that is why we can never look perfect at all.
Reason being, we were not created to look like each other.

Don't crave for plastic surgery.
Do it only if you are certain that you have the time to let your wounds heal properly, cash and that you are ready to handle the critics and also those supporting.
Plastic Surgery is a SERIOUS decision.
It will change your life, how people look to you, how you carry yourself and etc.
Think wisely and as many times before actually going for it.

Ps:/ These are just my opinions, I have no intention of slamming nor am I supporting anything or anyone.

Loyang Tua Pek Kong

The festive season of CNY is still around in Loyang Tua Pek Kong!
Ahhh, it feels so good to see the Chinese traditions still present in the current generations ( :

I remembered when I was much younger, I used to go to the temple located near Macpherson MRT.
Back then, there was no MRT station there so my father had to drive my family there every Sunday for Gu Zheng lessons (yes, I learned the Gu Zheng when I was younger but gave up eventually).

When CNY arrives during the early years, people will flock over to the temple to pray. You could see people hands clasp together with a lot of joss sticks, ardently praying for the safety of their family or anything else.
Fortune tellers are also really busy as people would queue up to ask about their fortune and etc.
Then there is also the Oil Pouring kinda "amulet" which is said to bring protection to families.
I used to be fascinated by the Oil Pouring because the oil never seemed to overflow even when the bowl is filled to the brim.

The sad thing is that... All these cultures and traditions are slowly fading away.
I wonder how CNY will be like 10 years down the road, hopefully rich heritage will not be vanished so that the new generations can get a taste of their ancestors routines ( :

Cheese Ramen

Ate this packet of Cheese Ramen brought from Seoul Mart or Market(?) a few days ago.
I ended up slurping the noodles and cheese into my tummy, leaving all the ingredients behind ~

I would rate this ramen a 2.5/5 for its deliciousness.
The soup tastes really bland unless you eat it with the cheese which has stick on the noodles.

So sad because I love cheese and I thought I can finally feast on some good cheese ramen. ) ':

Nevertheless, a good change of taste buds once in a while! ( :

When we are Ashamed of ourselves:
I believe everyone of us has flaws we feel ashamed of.
Personally(this is just one example, I have many flaws), I used to really hate the fact that I have bigger bottoms.
I hated it, I wanted a body "everyone seemed to have".
Slim legs, flat tummy, toned arms and etc.

That personal perspective and thought alone, destroyed who I really am.

I yearned badly for a "perfect" body shape.
I exercised intensively, I looked up on sites that would take me a step nearer to my desires, I ate lesser and I even wanted to attempt pills which could help me lose weight.

I didn't wanted to face society either.
I felt ashamed of my body type and that I would be mocked at all the time.
When I went out, I had a deep inferiority complex.
Wherever I went, I would look down, stare around like some mad person, have thoughts that people are laughing at me, walked really awkwardly (back then, I thought it was normal-.-) and felt really miserable.

I did not have the guts to dress up as much as I wanted to do so badly.
And I did not dare to step out of my comfort zone to dress how I really wanted to.
I followed the flow in order to "fit in".
I hated what I did now because it was not how I want my life to be.

When we Accept ourselves:

As the years passed, I learned to embraced my flaws because:
1) Without the different types of body shape, there will be no such thing as "perfect bodies".
2) I felt there wasn't a need to care about society's opinions anymore.
3) I wanted to be happy ^^

I gave up the idea of wanting the "perfect" body shape and accepted my flaws.
Because without my flaws, I am never who I am today.

My flaws gave me lessons to be learned for life and that is:
-Accepting all there is to come.
-Walking with confidence.
-Most importantly, loving myself for who I really am because if I can't love myself first, how can I learn to love others sincerely?

When we accept ourselves, we do things that makes us happy and not feel ashamed of!
Right now, I really love buying clothes and play dress/try out different styles of makeup at home before heading out or not even heading out at all...
I can spend hours trying out different ways to wear a single apparel! c :
Or even eat all that I want to eat!!!
(I have a relatively small appetite though so I can't really eat much T.T)

Even if I were to go out to town, without any makeup on(I do go out w/o make-up), looking ridiculous to others, getting mock at by others silently whom I'll probably never meet again,
I smile sincerely and walk confidently without having to look down or stare stealthy at others because I tell myself:
"I have finally accepted you, my dear flaws who makes up who I am!
The good old days of misery are gone ( :"

BE FASHIONABLE IN YOUR OWN WAYS.
Dress comfortably and feel confident! \m/
Heck care about the opinions of others, you only have one life.
Live life to the fullest!
You have the choice of LIVING FOR OTHERS or LIVING FOR YOURSELF/GOD.

Your flaws makes up who you truly are.
Embrace them! ( :

The experience sure is different from a normal visit to Little India. Tents were specially set up for stall holders to sell goods needed during Pongol Festival.

I wonder what the sugar canes are for and why some shops actually decorate using banana trees! : O

And I finally satisfied my crave for Komalas Vilas for months.

Nothing beats the Komalas Vilas standard located in Little India!

The Penisular Outlet, East Coast and etc has a different feel when I dine and the standard + quality is totally different.

Taste the Little India Outlet before trying out the other outlet people, you'll surely understand why! ( :

Been Awhile

It has been a while since I actually bothered to put on contact lenses, dramatic falsies and play around with different lip colours, camwhoring with the tripod and being alone at home with my dog! ( :

It has also been awhile since I've stayed at home alone with the little baby(my dog!), reflecting about anything under the sun/roof/rain.
From good old memories as an SAC student since Primary 1 to the day I officially graduated.
Wow, 11 years has passed just like that!

I've also submitted my JAE form yesterday!
Awaiting for the good news on the 30th of January where posting results is released ( :

Anyway, mybroken-ribbons has become more of a photo blog than a blog with lots of words.
Well what I meant is : Less words, more pictures.
That explains the lack of words in the past few "only photos" posts.
Of course there will be times where a post is just full of words or full of words + pictures.
But I guess majority of the posts in the future is just gonna be on pictures! ( :

So I had the opportunity to dine at 'The Corner Place', a Korean BBQ buffet restaurant thanks to one of my friend, Nicole!
And the boss was so kind to treat us! (Y)
I honestly feel that the ambiance and food was a little better than Seoul Garden, considering the fact that they offers Korean Rice Cakes! ^^

Not much pictures, so sorry! I was busy enjoying the food with my fellow peers!

The meat was fresh, food was really good, service was excellent!
I really recommend this place to people who loves KPOP and Korean BBQ! ( :

Results Day

So today was the release of O level results!
Of course, my heart was racing against I-have-no-idea-what when I took my first step out of my house.
The feeling was )(*&^%$%^&*.
Seriously, moreover I expected myself to do way worst because I screwed up nearly my entire O level exams.

Nevertheless, God has been good and I definitely accept my grades ( :
I'm sorry for the sudden out pour of tears when I received my results, especially to classmates who were sitting at the front, my mum and sister and the dear teachers.

Anyway, to all those taking their O levels this year or soon!
Study hard and don't get distracted AT ALL.
Seriously, you got to discipline yourself in order to strive the very best of abilities.
Practice as much as you can right now when you can because you jolly know yourself that you do not wanna shed tears of sorrows but tears of joy.
Remember, there's not such person as 'stupid'. Everyone can do it, overcome your fears!

Another aspect:
practice calmness and good habits when you are sitting for an exam.
What happened for me during O levels was that I was so into getting Ace for the exam that I blanked out and started digressing into Mathematics questions that was so simple and straight forward.
Yes, you guessed it. I didn't achieve my A.
The worst thing you would want is to have a nervous breakdown during an O level paper. IT IS HORRIBLE, I REPEAT. YOU FEEL SO HELPLESS AND FULL OF REGRETS AFTER "COMPLETING" THE PAPER BECAUSE YOU KNEW YOU COULD DO IT BUT "YOU, YOURSELF" STOPPED YOURSELF.

That's probably all I have to say, good luck to those taking Os!
Do your best and leave the rest. ^^

Remembering the past

I am certain all of us has had a bad past. Well in one point of time of course.
And as we continue with the future, we continue to resent the past whenever we recalled those unwanted memories.
But we failed to attempt any actions to relieve/resolve the problem at the moment in time.

In the end, it was OUR fault that we feel angered and frustrated in that moment of our lives even till now.

Letting Go
Since it was the past, the pain/problem has been done.
So, what's done is done.
Time to let it go and move on!

The best thing you can do now is to reflect and learn from your mistakes.
Ask yourself, "what went wrong? How can I amend it and imply it into my life so that I will NEVER make the same mistakes again?"

It's not easy but you need to make the first step and that is to find things that give you happiness and hope!
Maybe motivation and inspiration as well! ( :

Like for me, whenever I recall a painful past that was never resolved and full of regrets...
I sleep, shop, pour out to a bestfriend, scream by the beach, eat some cereals/chocolates, listen to music, doll myself up, pen down my thoughts, DIY stuff and so on! ( :
Of course when I sleep, I will cry to myself until I sleep but after waking up for a good rest, I instantly feel refreshed!

After feeling much much better, I reflect again lightly and tell myself:
"That was the past, it was all meant to happen.
A meaningful lesson for me to learn in order to develop "me".
The mistake I made was ____.
And the mistake the other party made was _____.
THIS SHALL NEVER HAPPEN AGAIN!" *smiles to self

What are your ways to let go of a bygone past that hurts so much?
Would really like to hear them from you guys! ( :

Why we remember
I guess the heart wants us to learn and be stronger from these painful experiences.
But the mind keeps playing tricks and draining us out.
Basically, it is a battle between the heart and the mind.
Of course... majority of the time, we allow the mind to take over and that's when chaos happens.
-Becoming emotional, depressed and etc.

And of course, developing who you are today.
Your character, personality and attitude towards life and everything else.

Happiness is a moment of spark.
It is short, simple and sweet.
You can choose to make the spark brighter and longer so long as you detached yourself from all "unhappiness" of course!

Treat your unhappiness/bad past as a lesson in life where you are learning, it'll definitely be beneficial for your future.

Remember that and do your best to shove all unhappiness aside!
Look at the problem/pain on a more positive perspective! ( :

"Build" your own hope and happiness!
Keep going forth and stop probing over the past dear lovely people! ^^
You can do it!!!!! Have faith! ♥

Moreover, work has officially taken up 95% of my time. And by the time it has ended, I'm drained and thus decides not to go out.

I'm pretty hyped up for December still because this Christmas seems really exciting!

Learn to let go anything you feel that is hurting you right at the instant.
Treat it as a lesson and learn from it. See the good and the bad as equal.
Feel the happiness from the mistakes/flaws because it makes up who you truly are in the past, present and future.
Make your flaws/mistakes into your advantages!

Its not easy but you've gotta give it your best shot.

So sorry for the lack of updates, I was at Malacca and Kuala Lumpur from the 19th to 22nd of November ( :
It was sort of a get-away/celebration for finishing my O levels I guess?

The trip was a short one, we stayed at each location for only 1 night and day!
Basically we just wanted to roam around Jonker Street Night Market, nearby malls and Chinatown Night Market ( :

I sure did replenished myself from this trip!

Prom Night/New Beginnings - 17 November 2011

Just some pictures to brief you through what happened during my Prom Night which occurred yesterday/few hours ago! ( :

I'm probably never gonna ask/hire a "professional" to apply makeup for me anymore.
Goodness, the amount of foundation the person applied was like... SUPER THICK.

That kinda explains the flawless looking skin in the pictures here. HAHA.
Anyway, I guess I enjoyed the graduation ceremony and Prom Night though I was really expecting much more.
Nevertheless, I had a great time!

SAC flows in my blood for life! \m/
I'm proud to announce I've been a SAC student for 11 years!
The thought of just having to leave in 2 months time kinda fears me because it means a new chapter of my life, new lifestyle, meeting new people, adapting to a new environment and etc.
Everything will never be the same again.
Still, life goes on but yet the beautiful memories of the past stays! ( :

I'm gonna need awhile to feel that there isn't a need to study till wee hours in the morning anymore.
It felt like a serious sin when I didn't studied before all the crazy papers.

Go watch this couple videos on YouTube, they are HILARIOUS. HAHA.

Hey everyone!
So I went to smoochiezz makeup flea all the way at Boon Lay yesterday with Diyana and Twin to buy necessary makeup! (:

Then I headed to Orchard to meet my parents!
We were actually anticipating to see the Christmas Lights but it has not started yet T.T

Hey everyone!
So today I headed to the Good Old Days Vintage cum Indie Flea over at the Cathay w Twin!
It was a really small flea! But everything sold was really unique!
The flea did indeed lived up to its name of Vintage + Indie (:

Didn't really take much pictures today, I was more engrossed with shopping, walking around and catching up w bestfriend/twin! ^^
Moreover my giant bag was so heavy that I didn't "dare" to take out anything from my bag just incase the whole bag kinda... falls out + it made my shoulders ache badly. HAHA.

And yes, I did not wear contact lenses today!

Went to Toni & Guy's Academy for the Free Hair Cut today.
And gosh, my hair is totally ruined )':
Tho it looks really nice in the pictures..., after I washed and blew dry my hair...
It was a complete disaster. I am super duper upset right now *cries
The waves are only temporary by the way.

I'm back to the hairstyle which I hated the most.
I took two years to grow to that length so that my ends will not curl and BAM... gone in one freaking day.
Now I have to suffer w my one sided unappealing slightly curled hair and wait for my hair to grow again )':

A Day Well Spent In Town

Despite having quite a lot of shoes as my sister just came back from Taiwan like a week ago!

Disclaimer: I'm not condemning anyone of your religion or anything. I just thought this e-mail I've received from my Dad should be shared with among people who wish to know or would love to find out how to deal with anger.

DEALING with INSULTS

The Buddha explained how to handle insult and maintain compassion.
One day Buddha was walking through a village. A very angry and rude young man came up and began insulting him. "You have no right teaching others," he shouted. "You are as stupid as everyone else. You are nothing but a fake."

Buddha was not upset by these insults. Instead he asked the young man "Tell me, if you buy a gift for someone, and that person does not take it, to whom does the gift belong?"

The man was surprised to be asked such a strange question and answered, "It would belong to me, because I bought the gift."

The Buddha smiled and said, "That is correct. And it is exactly the same with your anger. If you become angry with me and I do not get insulted, then the anger falls back on you. You are then the only one who becomes unhappy, not me. All you have done is hurt yourself."

"If you want to stop hurting yourself, you must get rid of your anger and become loving instead. When you hate others, you yourself become unhappy. But when you love others, everyone is happy."

The young man listened closely to these wise words of the Buddha. "You are right, O Enlightened One, "he said. "Please teach me the path of love. I wish to become your follower."

The Buddha answered kindly, "Of course. I teach anyone who truly wants to learn. Come with me."

Words to remember

If you are right then there is no need to get angry
And if you are wrong then you don't have any right to get angry.

Patience with family is love,
Patience with others is respect,
Patience with self is confidence
and
Patience with GOD is faith.

Never Think Hard about PAST,

Because they have no use for me, except to torment me.

That is why I move on even after being criticized, brought down or anything that is connected with negativity.

Anyone can be my friend/brother/sister because in God's eyes... we are all connected.

People mentioned to me/others that I am pretty different from what I appear to be at school.
Does appearance really make up everything? I think no.

But there is one thing which I will definitely admit.
I am an introvert, and it is pretty hard for me to share my sorrows with anyone.
Reason being, I'm afraid of being hurt any further.

However, I don't think I experience much sorrows anyways.
Apart from exam stresses and a little trivial conflict here and there.

If you truly knew me well, you jolly well know I love being happy!
And making people happy if it is within my means! (:

I am a human after all, I have flaws. I make mistake.
Sometimes I amend them, sometimes I don't.

I experience pain, sorrows, disappointed, happiness, joy and etc just as how you would.

I'm guessing, the reasons why people assumed that I'm different in school is because:
- My appearance does not depicts my cyber life/when I'm not in school.
(yes, in school... no make-up, hair all up, no fringe, skirt at knee length)
- I'm not very out-going at all.
- The clothes/accessories/shoes/make up that I purchased.
- They feel that I'm trying too hard.

But come on, whose appearance would not differ from when they are in school and not in school anyway?
Everyone wears/look differently when they are in school and not in school.

I love sharing and that is something I will continue to do, especially on this blog.
Even if it was just a few or many that are reading this blog, I will still continue to blog as how I would because each and everyone of you readers means a lot to me.
All of you are reasons why I carry on blogging.

This blog depicts who I really am.
Someone who shares almost everything and anything.

Dearest sister,
I'm very thankful to God that you have finally opened up to me and place trust in me once again.
I'm sorry for being a such a nuisance in the past and letting you suffer alone.. but at that point of time, I didn't know God. I didn't know how to differentiate between right and wrong and neither did I knew how hurtful little things could be. I didn't knew all these ignorant things could cause so much hurt in you and anyone else.

And adding on that, I didn't know what promises were meant to be and I often broke them, thinking that I did nothing wrong. But... I was wrong. I became a huge sinner as I not only broke my words but I brought sorrows upon others, including you, my only sibling.

In conclusion, I am really sorry for everything I've done to you back in the past. My ignorance, my sidings and everything else. I know nothing can actually mend back the hurt that has been done but I must let you know one thing...

That I'll always be there for you, as your younger sister, your sister in Christ name, your friend.
That I have always and always will love you.

You do mean a lot to me, especially as a sister in Christ name. The reason why I've never mentioned anything about how much you mean to me at all is because I was never good with speaking words to people. I didn't know how to express myself. Well, you could say I'm a coward? But I have to tell you, this part of me is something which will probably take many years for me to change or never at all. Because, yet again, I don't know how to express myself to people. It took me a whole load of courage to even post this post I have to admit.

But I'm really glad you have opened up to me, maybe not entirely because of the past but still, even by these bit by bit, it means a lot to me. At least I now know your feelings and maybe a bit of your problems now. I apologise that I can't be of much help in that factor but I hope by being your listening ear, your sister and friend it will help lessen your heartfelt sorrows a little. Please remember that your sister is always there for you whenever you need someone to lean on or rant on.

Anyway, you're dearly missed! Can't wait for you to return to Singapore.

Hi everyone,
I'm terribly sorry for the lack of updates! Was busy with school work as... yes I still have school the past 2 weeks. Haha, but I guess it was pretty fruitful! (:
Gonna finish up my homework by this week so that I can relax a little in the next 2 weeks of June!

Here are some updates about myself:
1) I DIY my own finger nails & toe nails!Don't ask me what printz did I DIY on my fingernails cause I also do not know. Hee hee.

2) Ransacked my bottom closet and found these lovely leggings!
I'm pretty surprised because I couldn't remember I had them until I dug them out of my closet.
Stockings as well..
(Got these unique ones over @ Taiwan back in March)
Okay I'll stop blogging here for now, crossed over my time limit for using the laptop.

Stereotype

I'm not perfect, I'm not the best.
I don't have the best features or body shape.
I'm not always right, neither am I always wrong.
I'm often judge and compared with others but people should get this right:
I am not them.

Neither can I be them or be close to being like them.
Because I was born different from everyone else, and everyone else is different from anyone else.
It hurts to know that I've tried my best but get thrashed by others.
It will be okay if it was a mistake I've made but if not, its not.

Everyday, we meet with new problems, new faces, new personalities and etc etc.
Everything is alright only until we meet with people who spites us with words just because they detest us.
And the worst thing is... they detest us for no reasons. Seriously?
Words... are one of the most deadliest substance on this Earth.
Free-will... is yet another one.
Because of free-will, people can choose to hate or to love.
And because of free-will, the world is 70% condemned by negativity in the people's mind.

Is that really the way you wanna live?
With a heart so small and lifespan so short, is there even enough time to hate and hold long-term grudges?
I feel, no.

I need to start being truthful to myself because I guess, I've been living in denial.
I choose to change for others just so as to adjust to their benefit and not be judged because I was afraid of being judged. But I guess I was wrong to change because in turned, I've gotten slammed down by others time after time. All this is part of growing I suppose?
It is high time I grew out of my stupidness and be strong. Society is stereotype and I just have to accept the fact and accept who I really am. In fact, I myself do not know who I really am anymore.

Sorry dear readers, something just stirred my emotions and I just had to pen them down here.

CHINESE O LEVEL PAPER IS OVAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!~
Okay I won't admit both papers are actually but they were manageable? I don't know la.

Don't ever order the Tom Yam Seafood from the Thai stall around there, doesn't even taste like Tom Yam T.T
And the sotong... like the size of the circumference of a marble only.

I didn't buy a lot of stuff there, oh I went City Square by the way (:
Only brought a pair of Oxford, School Shoe + Cartoon Tank.
The price there a bit expensive!

Ah yes, I have something delicious to share for today!
This is the best Mango fruit I have ever eaten, super JUICY AND TENDER.
I used to hate Mango just for your information, all thanks to Daddy who brought back these cheap and awesome Mango, I FELL IN LOVE WITH THEM.

Title: Overcoming Sorrows

I'll be blogging about my title for today.
Yes, it is 9.34am this morning and I'm blogging. But I felt it might be meaningful for some of my dear readers.

So why am I blogging this? Because I had a tiff off with my mum last night. And it made me cried pretty badly (my left eye has triple eyelids and my right has double, I look terrible of course). Yes, I cried to myself, to my sleep. But here I am up, and feeling all refreshed and hyped up!

Overcoming Sorrows
Why you do even need to overcome sorrows?
To move on of course and to help others! Others who were once in your plight, you in turn could help them out now with your experience and help them move on.
And also, you definitely wouldn't want to live in a sorrowful life, it is miserable and cold. You definitely need sparks of happiness to light up your world!

How to overcome sorrows?
Think about it... what makes you happy? Personally for me, it'll be shopping! I love shopping, shopping allows me to distract myself from sorrows and definitely making me smile at all the delightful products I've purchased! And also prayer and meditation, it allows me to calm my heated mind and heart (:

If it is so easy, many people wouldn't be sorrowful already.
True, but did they try to build their happiness first? Did they made an effort to make themselves get out of their plight of sorrows? In my opinion, no.
In fact, they are struggling between sorrows and happiness. That's the worst feeling ever, makes you feel like puking(for me).
YOU NEED TO GET CONQUERED BY WHAT MAKES YOU HAPPY.
Of course, it isn't as easy as said but you need to make the gigantic big step before coming out of that trouble "coiling well". Get yourself indulged in your interests and delights!

If people are constantly putting you down because you're being said as "dumb, daft, stupid and etc", let me tell you this: YOU ARE NOT. You are just unique in your own ways and of course, YOU ARE NOT LIKE OTHERS. Some may not succeed in education but they succeed in work. Some may not be as pretty or good looking as others but they may just have the most beautiful heart on this corrupted Earth. Some may appeared to be a rowdy person but may have the holiest soul.

You are beautiful in your own ways and that is something only God knows. Accept who you are and keep changing for the better.
You are destined for higher and not to be sympathized for in your "sorrowful plight". EVERYONE PLAYS A PART OF THIS WORLD. EVERYONE NEED ANY ONE ELSE. Or else there will be no such things as history, love, friendship, growing and etc.

So now, accept what comments others may have made. If you think that is TRUTH for you, accept it and grow with it until you amend that bad personality and character of yours. If it is good, keep nurturing that personality and character till it becomes habitual and is done in almost everything that you do.

Humans have to accept both good and bad in life. No point accept only the good, the receiving. It will not benefit you at all. In fact, you'll grow with arrogance and egoism. Don't. Keep growing with love, grow to share, grow to give.

Therefore, I ask you today, spread your wings. Time to tell yourself "I am stronger than what I am, I must be there for others who I may not know. They need me, they need my experiences to get themselves to stand up again. I will help them."

You are needed in this world.

If you've been wrongly accused, the truth will be out of the bag by itself. If it the truth isn't out, then just accept that the person is just SPROUTING NONSENSE(for minor problems) because you yourself knows it isn't your fault and that the truth was something else. If one day the whole world learns that you are speaking the truth, think about it... what is going to happen to the other party? You know the answer. And to lie, means to live in guilt and fearfulness. You don't want that yes?

Alright, end of my topic. Feels so to let that go from my brain and heart!

I went to FLB 6 yesterday with Abby and the place was mad crowd.
Managed to purchase a piece of gorgeous ring for $10 + a Marc Jacobs inspired top for $3!
Wished that it wasn't so crowd, I could have brought more stuff I supposed):

After that, we roamed around the S'pore Flyer area!
ANDDDDDDD, found Singapore's old snack, Ice Ball Kacang!
Pretty expensive though, $2.50 for one giant ball... but worth the try of my parent's favourite childhood snack!

We then found a stall selling antiques! REALLY OLD STUFF.
Abby & the olden days perm hair machine!

I used to have one of this old rocking horses(my was made of plastic) but my parents gave it away when we moved house~ Sure brings back memories!

Even the British dollar is still there!

And presenting to you... our new bestfriend!

This old man was such a friendly and cheerful fellow! Kept asking us to take photos, even allowed us to borrow his chair. HAHA.

Dead Tired.

I am seriously super tired from school and stress.
But I need to persevere... its just for this year )':

Anyway, apart from all those stresses and hard-cracking brain stuff(for me), I had my chances to relax as well! But that ain't very often...
Went out with these fellows for about 1-2 hours during the night on one of the Fridays which I forgotten. Gosh, these people never fail to make me laugh! Forever embarrassing ourselves and well, hiding our faces away HAHA.

I finally attended church as well, thanks to my sister though she is not in Singapore...
Went with Euphemia! At Suntec, for Easter Service on Sunday(:

And last of all, I think the best ways to distress is to...
CAM-WHOREEEEEEEEE & DRESSSS UP.

Okay la, my main emphasis was on circle lenses, especially the 15mm ones.
(but hey, camwhoring and dress up is true to distress okay!)
Its amazing how much difference they can impact a person!
In fact, ANY circle lens can do impact on ANYONE.
Even those transparent ones, they seemed to make a person's eyes more teary + bigger + sparkling!

Hi all,
just a quick update on myself. I will blog about my remaining days back in Taiwan soon! (:

Anyway, I haven't been going out lately ): I'm so busy doing my best to study and completing all my homework on time!
On a lighter note....
I have 2 things to rejoice about!

1.SACSS VERY 1ST JOGATHON IS OVER!
3.2km was no joke man. I ran another addition 1.5km with the fun runners from my class!
Really proud of 5.1, everyone persevered till the end! I feel honored to be part of 5.1!
We are forever winners!

2.The Tribal Cardigan which I ordered nearly 2 months ago has finally arrived!
Another awesome piece to my wardrobe!

I think I need to head to Ikea to get some pretty hangers HAHA. My home has only those plastic kind of hangers which are ugly(?) yeah.

Alright, I shall end here! I have a time limit as to how long I can use the laptop now ):

Around the world : Taipei, Day 3 (16 March 2011)

Taipei Day 3!
My sister arrived at Taipei at midnight the day before, so we're on a holiday as a whole family from Day 3 onwards! (:

So I headed to the Taipei 101 Tower with my family.

And had a luxurious lunch there!

I don't like the orange orange food, its sour fish I think :/

I LOVE THIS DISH. The prawns were so fresh and the cashew nuts were so sweet and tasty!

My worst nightmare, Spinach(not sure if it is). I don't like ):

In case you're wondering why the heck am I wearing a mask, it was pretty cold that day and I was trying to prevent myself from catching a fluuuuuuu.

Next up Shilin Food Square! Didn't take any pictures of Shilin Night Market because the place was just a lane on a road + it was pretty crowded!

And since I was at Shilin, I couldn't miss the opportunity to eat the Fried Chicken Cutlet!

Many people queuing to order the Chicken, the queue was like... all the way to the back!

Smelly Tofu. Hongkong's smelly tofu has a more serious unpleasant smell than the Taiwan's tofu (:

If you see a dessert store that sells desserts like Ice Kachang, Ice Jelly. Go order the Mango Milk Snow Ice or something like that. IT WAS SIMPLY MOUTH WATERING + DELICIOUS. Didn't take a picture of it because I was busy indulging myself in my dessert ~

This was my Day 3, not much of an excitement but more of fooooooooood~

I'm sure everyone is aware of the happenings in Japan now.
It certainly breaks my heart to see people losing their love ones, homes, memories and etc.
Some people claim that it is Japan's Karma that has gotten them to where they are today.
But, lets forget about the past and lift our hearts for them. After all, they are our brothers and sisters. We're all made the same, with warm blood flowing through us.

Let's pray for Japan and help Japan today!

Around the world: Taipei, Day 4

My family first visited a temple which was located pretty near our hotel and in a lane of Xi Men Ding.

Next up, we took the train down to Nanjing(if I remembered correctly) and walked towards the Hello Kitty Restaurant! ( :

Picture totally ruined as I forgotten to adjust the brightness and it was dangerous to cross the road to take another photo T.T

The prices of the food is pretty reasonable and not to mention, real delicious!
A cute and cosy destination that every family should visit I feel! ( :

Next we headed to the Areana, by walking there...

And then, off to the Golden Ferris Wheel! ( :

We then headed to somewhere else (I can't remember where T.T) via Train! The train at Taiwan is really convenient to travel around ( :

Around the world : Taipei, Day 2 (15 March 2011)

Hi all!
I shall start blogging about my Taipei Trip! However, I'll only blog about from day 2 onwards as day 1 was the day I arrived... in the late night. So nothing much to see + very little pictures!

Mummy booked a half day tour for the day!
And goodness gracious, on that very Tuesday, the weather was... super shiok because it was super... coldddddddddddd. 9 Degree Celsius and below if I recalled correctly because it was changing season thus explained the cold weather!

ISO too high HAHA.

So firstly we headed to Chiang Kai Shek Memorial Hall.

Then followed up by some shrine which Taipei holds a huge significance for the Marshal.
We were lucky enough to witness the marching ceremony in respect for the Marshal.

There was only one ancestral tablet in this big hall.

Next up was Mao Princess house. The tribe is (if I remembered correctly) the largest tribe living in Taipei. I was expecting to go to some greenery place with no air-con or whatsoever technology but I was taken back. The place we went was air-conditioned, with all their products packed in glass containers and boxes. They even had an hotel beside it, well they owned it.
They were selling products such as Lingzhi, Royal Jelly and etc. But at freaking expensive prices...

Hence, me and my family were turned off and we headed outside to wait for the rest of the tour.

And since it was a half day tour, the journey ended here and they left us at Neihu Station.
Honestly it was quite irresponsible of them to have left us at Neihu Station (in the middle of nowhere) no shopping district at all.
What could have happen if we didn't know how to get back to our hotel or etc?

But even so, we still got our way back to Ximen(where my hotel was) and ate dinner over there.
Korean food for dinner! (Y)
Finally got to try out Bibimpap (?) as well! Man, it was delicious.

Shopping time!
It got freaking cold during the night which was why I had to get that thingy I'm wearing on my head in the picture below HAHA.

Oh, did I mention my hotel did NOT have any windows? It was mad hilarious because there was a "door" which we thought was either a balcony or cabinet. But when we opened it, it was just... a wall. HAHAHA.

Alright, this was how I spent my day 2 in Taipei!

Back from Taipei, Back to school.

Hi everyone,
I'm sorry for neglecting this space but as you know, I just came back from Taipei yesteday morning at 1am.
Taipei was a blast for me, really enjoyed myself to the maximum!
In addition, got to see my lovely sister on this trip as well! Been a long time since my whole family went on a holiday together. (:
(will blog in detail about my Taipei trip another time)

Anyway, school's starting for SAC tomorrow. Well, the upper secondary that is. Gotta start my gear and prepare for the journey ahead starting tomorrow! I will do well this year, I just know I can. After that, I can enjoy for all I want! In fact, I believe everyone will see good results for themselves this year! Hee hee.

I'm having some serious jet lag now... In Taipei, everyday is night life so I came home and slept only at like 12am-2am. Now I gotta try to sleep at 11am but I can't! ):
I shall try to force sleep, or else I'll be dozing off in school tomorrow.

Hi all,
Today is the final day before I head off to Taiwan!
I'm super excited actually but am worrying a little if there should be any natural disasters hitting Taiwan. *fingers crossed
But I believe the Lord will protect me and my family ^^

Anyway! I went out with my twin yesterday, Yixin!
She's not my real twin but a really close and awesome friend ♥
And we both brought something really cool and awesome for our camera, at least to us(:
